US Club Soccer and the Major Island Soccer Organization (MISO) Junior League partnered to organize the 2016 US Club Soccer Hawai'i State Cup at Waipi'o Soccer Complex.

Applications are currently being accepted for the upcoming US Club Soccer Hawaii State Cup, to be held on April 14-16 at the Waipi'o Soccer Complex on O'ahu.

Competitions will be offered for 12-U (2005) and 13-U (2004) to 18/19-U (1999/1998) Boys and Girls age brackets.  The winner of the 13-U to 18/19-U Divisions will qualify to participate in the US Club Soccer National Cup Finals.

[Note:  Due to U.S. Soccer Federation's age modifications, US Club Soccer will include a combined 18/19-U Division to accommodate those players who would have otherwise lost 1-year of eligibility.  The 12-U Division (2005 born players) will play on a 9v9 format.]

Application Deadlines are February 23* (early registration) and March 2 (final registration).  [*Note:  $100 discount for early registrants.]

The National Cup XV Finals featured 158 U-13 through U-17 boys and girls teams, July 22-25 at Aurora Sports Park in Aurora, Colo. The National Cup Finals is the culminating event of US Club Soccer's cup-based national championship series, which also includes Regionals and qualifying state cups.

We created a new Website to handle all US Club Soccer events in Hawai'i, including the US Club Soccer Hawai'i State Cup and Player Development Program (PDP).  Please visit USCSHawaii.org for more information, where you may download the US Club Soccer Hawai'i State Cup Rules, Register Online, and Recommend Players to be scouted at the State Cup.

As in the past couple of years, a U.S. Soccer/US Club Soccer Scout will attend the Hawai'i State Cup, to evaluate recommended players, and scout for potential invites to attend a US Club Soccer PDP Camp—to be held on Maui and O'ahu during the Fall Break in October (exact dates will be announcer later).  Please note that the PDP Program is US Club Soccer's version of OPD; and participation is FREE for all selected players.

The scout will be observing Boys born in 2004 & 2005 and Girls born in 2003 & 2004.  Recommendations for players born in these target birth years are currently being accepted via the USCS Hawai'i website.

[Note:  Recommendations by Head Coaches and Directors of Coaching is a vital part of the PDP Program and scouting process, as it allows the U.S. Soccer/US Club Soccer staff to follow and pay special attention to those players that were recommended.  If you have any standout players in those age groups, please take the time to go online and fill in the Recommendation Form so he/she can be looked at by the scout.]

Players selected to attend one of the two PDP Camps will then be evaluated once more during the actual event—by U.S. Soccer/US Club Soccer Staff. Those selected after attending the PDP will then be invited to an id2 Training Camp on the mainland. If selected from there, they will participate in id2 National Team programs and will have the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally for tournaments or other competitions—at no cost to the player.  Two players from Hawai'i—in the past couple of years—made it all the way!  We hope to continue that streak!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have regarding the USCS HI State Cup, PDP or any other USCS related event.
