PURPOSE & BACKGROUND
The purpose of the PDP Hawaiʻi Showcase is to provide top players with an opportunity to be scouted and identified for potential inclusion in US Club Soccer’s id² Program — at no cost to players. PDP/id² is an Olympic Development Program (ODP) — approved by the U.S. Olympic Committee and U.S. Soccer.
At the PDP Hawaiʻi Showcase, training sessions and internal competitions will be overseen by id² Boys Director, Gerry McKeown and id² Girls Director, Tricia Taliaferro. Top performers will be invited to attend an id² Training Camp in December; where all training, meals, lodging, and gear are provided at no cost — by US Club Soccer and Nike. There, U.S. Soccer staff will be onsite — to scout players for potential inclusion in U.S. Youth National Team programming.
